Jennings, Caroline
Dr. Jennings is a board-certified behavioral sleep medicine clinical psychologist. She provides short-term, evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) and Imagery Rehearsal Therapy (IRT) across California through telehealth. She works with adults, adolescents, children, and families with children whose sleep disturbances may be disrupting bedtime and sleep for the whole household.
Dr. Jennings works with individuals who struggle to turn off their minds at night, spend too long trying to fall asleep, or find themselves wide awake at odd hours. Some wake up too early, others can't get out of bed in the morning, and many feel sluggish throughout the day. Nightmares and vivid dreams disrupt sleep for some and make them dread going to bed at night. Most have tried hard to solve their sleep problems and may worry that sleeping pills are their only option, or they have found that medication or other substances don’t work as well as they once did.
Dr. Jennings regularly assists individuals to reduce reliance on sleep aids if that is their goal, but she works with anyone regardless of their current medications, substances, and supplements to improve their sleep naturally.
Sleep problems may begin out of the blue or stem from work or family stress; pregnancy, aging, illness, or pain; depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, trauma, or other mental health concerns. No matter how it starts, poor sleep can make all of the above more difficult. Dr. Jennings has specialized experience addressing sleep and these conditions, optimizing both night and daytime functioning.
After graduating from the PGSP-Stanford PsyD Consortium, Dr. Jennings completed her pre-doctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the VA Greater Los Angeles Health Care System.
Dr. Jennings does not take insurance and is an out-of-network provider. Each session is $300, and a superbill is provided which you may submit to your insurer for reimbursement.
