BASE Team

BASE was founded by Dr. Kristin Daley and Dr. Andrea Umbach out of a desire to offer specialist psychological services to the greater Charlotte community. We are passionate about Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and have spent our careers honing our skills and the skills of other clinicians.

Why CBT?

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a specialized treatment approach. Extensive research has shown its effectiveness for the treatment of insomnia, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, depression, and more. In CBT, we notice patterns related to our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, in order to create measurable goals and effective change.

Resources

Quick tips, tools, stories, and support. We want everyone to have access to cognitive behavioral information and techniques. Think of it as having a therapist in your pocket. Rather than googling the endless internet for advice, why not go to a trusted source. Check back for new content and ideas!

BASE’s resources are for informational purposes only and are not intended to assess, diagnose, or treat any medical and/or mental health disease or condition. Our resources do not imply nor establish any type of therapist-client relationship. The information should not be considered a substitute for consultation with a qualified mental health or medical provider who could best evaluate and advise based on a careful evaluation.
